institutions.John graduated with a degree in Software Engineering before joining Sun Microsystems (now Oracle)
where he spent 3 years working as a Unix Engineer. After John left Sun Microsystems he moved to
Japan over 10 years ago where he worked as a Business Development Manager in an IT firm before
joining the recruitment industry.Prior to joining Ascent Global Partners, John worked in a global front office retained firm where
he specialized in the Japanese Equity Market. In his spare time, John sings in a band and enjoys

- Chu has been working in executive search for 11 years.
Her main coverage is front office Fixed Income, Currency, Commodities, Multi-Assets Structured Products and Private Banking areas.
She has successfully completed assignments at Managing Director, Director and VP levels for Sales, Trading and Structuring positions at both Major International and Major Japanese financial institutions based in Japan.
Prior to joining Ascent Global Partners, Chu worked as a senior consultant at two Asian search firms where she was specialized in the global markets area.Chu earned a Bachelors Degree in Banking from National Chengchi University in Taiwan and a Master’s Degree in Science from the United Sates.
She speaks native Chinese, fluent English and Japanese.
Chu enjoys spending time with her dogs and traveling by train in her spare time.

With a deep experience in Insurance and Asset Management recruiting, he has proven ability to execute retained, exclusive or contingent searches continuously and with a very high-level of success.After graduating in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Manchester, he worked as an IT project manager in London and spent time travelling around China, Tibet, India & Nepal before settling in Tokyo.
